Building community through volunteering
Sword of Iron - Israel Volunteer Corp is on a mission to ignite a movement of volunteerism to strengthen the Nation of Israel and unite people in service. We partner with organizations to centralize volunteering efforts, making them easy and accessible to participate. What makes us really unique is our global community built on shared values of Doing Good for Israel.
I started my own English conversation group at the hospital I was volunteering in.... A lot of the community service girls and recovering soldiers wanted to improve their english for university entry exams or to tour to tell their stories of October 7th. We formed a WhatsApp group and still communicate now that I'm home.

After October 7, I was wallowing in intense fear, horrific, grief, and uncontrollable rage. They started to change with my decision in November 2023 to come to Israel, and I’ve been on three trip trips, totaling almost 2 months, since then (and counting the weeks until we return in October). It has given me a renewed sense of purpose, in my life overall, with an appreciation for service like I never had before. My professional life consist of service, but that just nourishes my checkbook. Volunteering in Israel nourishes my soul!
